Q: What type of documents can A Notary on Wheels notarize?
A: Legal, medical, loans, personal, real estate, financial and any other
documents that required your signature to be witnessed and your
identity to be verified.
Q: Is a notary responsible to verify the documents content?
A: No, a notary scans the document for blank spaces.
Q: Does the documents have to be completely filled out before
notarization?
A: Yes, a notary can not answer any questions pertaining to the
document or help you fill it out.
Q: Does notarization legalize or validate a document?
A: No
Q: Can a personal Will be notarized in California?
A: If you have questions about a Will please consult an attorney and
they can guide you through the process. The attorney will let you
know how it needs to be signed.
Q: What is acceptable Identification for California?
A:
- An identification card or driver's license issued by the California
Department of Motor Vehicles
- Other State-approved Identification card, consisting of the
following; a photograph, description of the person, signature of
the person, and an identifying number.
- A United States passport
- A passport issued by a foreign government, provided that it has
been stamped by the U.S. Immigration or Naturalization Service
or the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- A driver's license issued by another state
- A Canadian or Mexican driver's license issued by a public agency
authorized to issue driver's licenses
- A Military Identification card
- An inmate Identification card issued by California Department of
Corrections, if the inmate is in custody
Q: Can an Interpreter be used?
A: No, they, the Notary Public and the signer, must speak the same
language to effectively communicate
Q: What is the local coverage area?
A: Antelope, California (10 miles max '1-way' from the office)
Q: What is the Mobile Notary Public travel/service fee for local
residents?
A:
- 1-2 signatures/documents: $25.00
- 3 signatures/documents: $35.00
- 4-5 signatures/documents: $50.00
Q: What is the Mobile Notary Public travel/service fee for out-of-local
area signing of documents for residents?
A:
- 11-20 miles: $30.00
- 21-30 miles: $35.00
- 31-50 miles: $40.00
Q: What is the signature/document fee for out-of-area?
A: $10.00 per signature/document for residents.
Q: Does A Notary on Wheels do family Trusts Signings? (PLEASE NOTE: IT IS
RECOMMENDED THAT AN ATTORNEY BE CONTACTED FOR LEGAL ADVICE &/OR REPRESENTATION BEFORE
SIGNING BECAUSE THE NOTARY CAN NOT GIVE LEGAL ADVICE.)

Q: Will there be a separate travel/service fee for a Trust Signing?
A: Yes
- 1-30 miles: $20.00
- 30-50 miles $30.00
Q: What is the signature fee for a Trust Signing?
A:
- Trust signings with 1-10 signatures is $9.00 per signature
- Trust signings with 11-20 signatures is $8.00 per signature
- Trust signings with 20+ signatures is $7.00 per signature
Q: Does A Notary on Wheels travel to Jails or Detention facilities?
A: Yes
Q: How much is the fee for a jail Mobile Notary Public service?
A: Main Jail (downtown Sacramento) base fee: $50.00
RCCC (Elk Grove) base fee: $85.00
- 2+ signature/documents: $10.00 each additional cost
- Excessive wait time fee maybe added if the total exceeds more
than one hour
- Excessive waiting time fee: $6.00 for every 15 minutes
Q: What information needs to be provided to the notary to meet with
the inmate?
A:
- Inmate's full legal name, x-ref# or booking #, and date of birth
- payment needs to be made before meeting with the inmate
- Notary needs the contact persons name and phone number
